I recently returned from a trip to Kenya. I was fortunate enough to visit Maasai Mara, Amboseli, and Lake Nakuru National Parks.

It was a truly amazing experience that I will never forget. Between the scenery, the people, and the animals I have never been so inspired to draw.  I look forward to returning one day.

I managed to fill an entire sketchbook. Here is a hand full of photos and what I managed to draw while I was there.

Tikis and Mermaids

Not too long ago I had an itch to do some Tiki and Mermaid sketches. These three pieces are the result. Not intended for anything but my own practice and fun. I am pretty happy with how they came out.

Hope you all enjoy them!

L.A. Hootenanny

Not too long ago I had the pleasure of doing a poster for the awesome L.A. Hootenanny, a great local band that plays at a bar called Villains Tavern most Thursday nights near Downtown L.A.
Check them out if you get a chance. You will not be disappointed!

Love You Deadly

Here is a new shirt I did for Nekromantix for a song on their new album.

It can be purchased online here.

Moai Madness

Not too long ago I contributed to an art show which centered around the theme of Moai. It was a ton of fun and I was excited to see all of the other talented artists that contributed to the show.

I had two pieces, Voodoo Island and a Pinstripe Moai.
I created a custom frame for the Voodoo Island piece which was then printed on canvas (Thanks Tom D. Kline for the photo).

The pinstripe Moai was printed on T-shirts.

Skeleton Mermaid

This is a design for a new T-shirt that I recently put together.

Star Wars Battle of the Bands!

I finally got around to putting together this idea I had been throwing around. Star Wars Battle of the Bands!!! I always intended the final version to be the colored poster, but I decided to put together the second version because I really liked the way the black and white line drawings looked.
I know I'd be there rockin' out!

Darth Talon

This one is a design that I did for my brother......and it was a long time coming (sorry bro!). For those wondering, its Darth Talon from the Star Wars Legacy comic books.
